BLT CHAFFLE

BLT CHAFFLE

I am back so soon, because now I want to show you what I used and put on my chaffle. Not sure on the calories. I really should check on that and the carbs. As I get better at posting I hope that I can be that source of information.

The total points on the BLT Chaffle is 3 WW blue points.

3.     Then put together the BLT. I usually do a little mayo on top and bottom. I salt and pepper them also. Then the lettuce and tomato, bacon.

4.     Stack it up and cut in half .

WW BLUE NOTES

·         This was a really low point lunch and I would have probably been satisfied completely but I had that dag on parsnip sitting around so I made some fries.

·         You should try this and let me know.

The Chaffle

Chaffle

With the Mini Dash Waffle Maker

Let me start out saying, I am doing WW but I am also trying to get away from the carbs of certain foods. I am trying to stay closer to the better foods for my body. I have been finding that the paleo and the keto recipes are really a great way to look at foods. When I eat this way, I have tons of energy and I have a clearer mind. I feel better and move better. Now I need to watch the calories if I want to lose the weight. Cause no matter what diet or lifestyle you take. It is always going to calories in, calories out. You have to move also.

Here is what the mini dash looks like, there are a lot of stores that are selling them at a nice price. I have actually gotten all three. One does a waffle, on a grill, and on is just plain. Very handy for an egg or a pancake. Even a flat bun-ish thing for a hamburger or a sandwich.

Now carbs are not bad things, but I find that the better ones, the lower carb items, make me fuller and happier. Or maybe it is the combination of the protein and fat with it. Anyway, try things for yourself and you will find what you like.

Instructions:

1.     Mix egg and ¼ cup of the cheese together

2.     Take you mini waffle maker

3.     Spray your waffle maker.

4.     The cheese you held back separate into 4.

5.     Sprinkle a 1 of the little bit of the cheese you held back on the bottom, then pour in half the mixture onto the waffle maker and gently spread out. Sprinkle a little more on top and close up.

6.     This takes about 3 minutes. I usually like mine really crispy. So I go just a little more.

7.     When done, lay to the side to cool a bit. And do the other half the same way.

Now when you are finished you can no put what ever you like on it, in it and between it.

I made a BLT. Which I am going to post next.

WW BLUE NOTES

*I find this a really handy for a quick sandwich. Loving that the carbs are very good on this. You can make any kind of sandwich.

Sweet Potato Avocado Egg Toastie

Sweet Potato Avocado Egg Toastie

Ingredients

ITEMS NEEDED

AMOUNT NEEDED

WW BLUE POINTS

Large Sweet Potato

1/3  (cut in half-2 slices)

1/3 =3

Eggs

2

0

Tostitos Avocado Salsa

Little shy of 2 tsps

0

Everything Bagel Seasoning

0

Salt and Pepper

0

Pam Spray

0

 Total = 3 ww blue

Instructions

I took my sweet potato and cut it into 3 thick slices. (then I cut them again into two thin slices each)

Put slices in a baggie and squirt a little pam spray in and salt and pepper. Toss around.

Lay on a sprayed sheet pan (oven 375 for 20-25 minutes-check for tenderness/ air fryer is what I use I put a piece of parchment on my tray and I do 375 for 15 minutes, flipping and then finish with 400 for the desired brown and crispiness I would like)

Meanwhile in a small pan on stove, make two sunny side eggs. (I have a small pan and a lid to put on top. I spray it with pam spray and then put the eggs in, and season and put a lid. This makes it so I do not have to flip. My lid is see through so I can see how my eggs and how I like them. )

When the sweet potatoes are ready. I take 2 of them and spread a little shy of 1 tsp of Tostitos Avocado Salsa, then top with a sunny runny egg (you can make them the way you like, I just like the richness of a warm yolk on it all.) and then a little everything bagel seasoning.

this is the tostitos

**the other 4 slices, I let cool and lay in a container, separated by the parchment paper (I use the one that I cooked them on. Just keeps them from getting too mushy. Then the next day, I can just pop in the airfryer and refresh and start over again.

WW BLUE NOTES

*I found this to be good, but I could have skipped the avocado salsa and the everything bagel seasoning. The egg was so rich on the sweet potato that you really didn’t need the extra, and I think I am just a salt and pepper kind of gal.
